Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 Italian sausages, cooked and sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
Warm up the grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat
Put olive oil in a pan and heat it over medium-low heat
It will take about 8 to 10 minutes of cooking after adding the sliced onions and peppers until they are soft and slightly caramelized
Add black pepper and salt
Take it off the heat and set it aside
Put the ground beef, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a bowl and mix them together
Take the mixture and shape it into 4 burger patties
The burger patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until theyre done the way you like them
Add a slice of provolone cheese to top of each patty in the last minute of grilling and let it melt
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are just barely brown while the burgers are cooking
Put some marinara sauce on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together
Pick up a burger and put it on top of the sauce
Place some of the peppers, onions, and sliced Italian sausage that have been sauted on top of the burger patty
Place the other half of the toasted bun on top of each burger
If necessary, use a toothpick to hold it in place
Have fun with the Sausage and Peppers Burgers while theyre still hot
