Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat
Add diced onions, carrots, and garlic
Cook until softened, about 5 minutes
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks
Stir in tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce
Cook for another 2 minutes
Add frozen peas and beef broth
Simmer until the mixture thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish
Spread mashed potatoes over the top evenly
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the mashed potatoes are golden brown and the filling is bubbling
Serve hot and enjoy
