Japanese Rainbow Roll is a vibrant and flavorful sushi roll that showcases a variety of fresh fish and vegetables. With its colorful presentation and combination of textures and flavors, its a favorite among sushi enthusiasts.

Ingredients:

  • 6 sheets nori seaweed
  • 3 cups sushi rice, cooked
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 avocado, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lb sashimi-grade tuna, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lb sashimi-grade salmon, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lb sashimi-grade yellowtail, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

Instructions:

Place a nori sheet shiny side down on a bamboo sushi mat

Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch gap at the top

Arrange cucumber, avocado, tuna, salmon, and yellowtail in rows across the rice

Mix mayonnaise and Sriracha, then drizzle over the fillings

Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, sealing the edge with water

Slice the roll into 8 equal pieces

Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the top

Repeat with remaining ingredients

Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi
