Ingredients:
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 bunch kale, stems removed and leaves chopped
- 8 oz Italian sausage, casings removed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 lemon, zest and juice
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
Follow the directions on the package to cook the penne pasta
Remove the water and set it aside
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat
Break up the Italian sausage into crumbles with a spatula as it cooks until it turns brown
Put minced garlic in the pan and cook for one to two minutes, until the garlic smells good
Add chopped kale and stir
Cook for three to four minutes, or until the kale wilts
Add the lemon juice, zest, and heavy cream
Mix things together well
Toss the cooked penne pasta in the sauce in the pan after adding it
Grate some Parmesan cheese over the pasta and toss it again until the cheese melts and the sauce gets smooth
To taste, add salt and black pepper
If you want, you can add more Parmesan cheese and lemon zest to the top before serving it hot
